Shumilino

There are 108 monuments of history and culture in the territory of Shumilino district, they are: 14 archaeological sites (7 of them are of the national status), 3 architectural monuments, 91 monument of history (22 of them are of the national status).

The Russian-Byzantine churches of St Sergius and the Dormition as well as the Piatenka chapel of the late 19th - early 20th centuries are probably the most prominent objects. Tourists often visit the Amburger estate and park complex, including the remains of the homestead, the former house of the estate keeper (today the Museum of the Obol Comsomol Underground) and fragments of the park.

One more remarkable place to visit is an old railway station.
